About me

I have worked as a psychologist for over 20 years in public and private practice. In addition, I have experience in research and teaching. I have extensive experience in treating children, adolescents and adults, and offer safe and professional treatment tailored to your needs.

Since 2014, I have run a private practice, where I use methods such as emotion-focused therapy, cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, mental training and hypnosis. For many years, I have also worked with school refusal and have good results in this area.

Mental training and hypnosis are very effective tools for managing stress, sleep difficulties, anxiety, phobias and more. I offer mental training and hypnosis both in my practice and through audio files in the online store Sivenity, where you will also find live sessions and informative videos.

Emotion-focused therapy

Emotion-focused therapy is an effective form of therapy that helps people understand, regulate and express their emotions in a healthy and meaningful way, promoting personal growth.

Cognitive therapy

Cognitive therapy is a structured and goal-oriented form of therapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. By identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, the therapy helps you develop more appropriate ways of dealing with challenges.

Exposure therapy

Exposure therapy is an effective treatment method for anxiety disorders, where you are gradually and safely exposed to what you fear. The aim is to reduce the unnecessary fear and create a new sense of control.

Conversations

Being in a challenging situation can be overwhelming, and it's often helpful to have a safe space where you can put your thoughts and feelings into words. I offer support sessions that are customised to your situation, whether you are in the midst of grief, a life crisis, or need help as a relative.

Mental training and hypnosis

Mental training and hypnosis is a combination of deep relaxation and focused attention to work with conscious and subconscious processes. Through mental training and hypnosis, you gain access to thoughts, feelings and patterns that can be difficult to reach through traditional talking therapies.

Psychotherapy with horse

This form of therapy takes place in a stable, outside in a paddock or on a walk, where you interact with the horse both from the ground and from horseback. No previous experience with horses is required, and the horses used are carefully selected to be safe and suitable for therapy. Spring and summer activity.

An incredibly knowledgeable lady

When my son, 5 years ago, got a strong degree of anxiety, and then school refusal, it was incredibly difficult to get good help anywhere. Fortunately, we got a tip about Siv. It was a complete turnaround, for both children and parents. But we trusted Siv and her approach, and today my son is back at school in full force, and has become a happy and satisfied teenager. Siv is highly recommended for those with school refusal and/or anxiety! This would not have been possible without her.

When I came to Siv, everyday life had started to get a little too "dark". She helped me realise that I am completely normal and that there were solutions to what I found difficult and tiring. I got help with both my worries and my snuff addiction. Worries and thoughts that took up too much space were eased through conversations. The snuff addiction slowly but surely disappeared through hypnosis. This was very exciting to be a part of. She's a calm and professional counsellor from whom I've learnt an incredible amount about myself, and she makes sure that my head is calmer and I deal with emotions, stress and worry/anxiety in a better way than before. I always feel safe and well looked after with Siv.

When I was burnt out and everyday life was too much for me, it was incredibly good to come to Siv. I felt understood and got help and tools to understand and change the things that made me tired. Eternally grateful for the good help.

In my troubled world, I feel that I'm rarely or never down in the doldrums anymore. I have a much brighter outlook on everything and her good presence does me good. She is a good friend to me.
